24 December, 2011 – Petaling Jaya: Malaysia’s first MMA gym currently based in Mount Austin, Johor Bahru; Ultimate MMA Academy will be holding a fight event called Ultimate Beatdown this coming 14 January 2012. The fight night, will be presenting various mixed martial artists from places like Melaka, Borneo even Singapore, UK and of course, Johor Bahru. Previously known as Ultimate Fight Night (UFN), this is their 6th installment of the event. Previous UFNs presented fighters from Malaysia, UK, Iran, South Africa and more.
For Ultimate Beatdown, there are an expected total of 8 fight cards, 5 main cards and 3 undercards. The fighters will receive an official certificate from Malaysia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, a trophy as well as an official record on Mixed Martial Arts website, Sherdog.com.
One of the main cards fighters, 23 years old Sunny “The Silencer” Sabornido fighting out of Borneo MMA Gym, known for being Malaysia’s first mute & deaf fighter, will be going against Garrick Seah from Impact MMA Singapore.
